SAC members attend final match, awarding ceremony of 2024 ISR Futsal Championship

The Yangon Region men’s team raised the championship trophy at yesterday’s event, graced by SAC members and dignitaries.

State Administration Council Members Daw Dwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, Dr Hmuh Thang, Dr Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, U Shwe Kyein and U Yan Kyaw, Union ministers, deputy ministers, departmental officials, and relevant officials attended the final match and awarding ceremony of the 2024 Inter-State and Region Futsal Championship yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
They watched the men’s final match between the Yangon Region team and the Kachin State team. Yangon Region team beat Kachin State team 3-1 in the final game.
Next, an awarding ceremony was held, and officials presented cash awards and medals to the best male and female athletes, the third-prize winning Sagaing Region team (women) and Bago Region team (men), and second-prize winning Kachin State teams (women) and (men) respectively.
Then, SAC members Porel Aung Thein and Daw Dwe Bu presented individual medals, cash prizes, and championship trophies to first-prize winning Yangon Region men’s and women’s teams.
The purpose of holding the 2024 Inter-State and Region Futsal Championship is to uplift Myanmar futsal, to unite futsal players from different regions and states, and to bring out a new generation of athletes. The event was held from 11 to 19 August with 525 players from 15 men’s teams and 15 women’s teams. — MNA/KTZH
