MRF reannounces affordable rice price scheme for consumers

Myanmar Rice Federation notified further consumers to contact the federation to reach the affordable rice scheme if needed.
Myanmar Rice Federation has been selling rice at affordable prices since 31 May by joining hands with affiliated associations, depots, and companies. The cheap price scheme is available until October.
The affordable rice price scheme covers 68 retail shops in 30 townships of Yangon, including Hlinethaya, Hlaing, Sangyoung, Thakayta, Dawbon, South Dagon, South Okkalapa, North Okkalapa, North Dagon, Insein, Shwepyitha, Thingangyun, Mingaladon, Ahlon, Thanlyin, East Dagon, Pazundaung, Kamayut, Latha, Yankin, Kyimyindine, Mingala Taungnyunt, Tamway, Pabedan, Kyauktada, Botahtaung, Dala, Seikkyi Khanaungto, Bahan and Dagon Seikkan townships. Employees from industries, factories and civil servants can contact MRF.
MRF declared on 9 July that cash on delivery sales for Shwebo and Ayeyawady Pawsan started in the Yangon Region on 10 July, according to its announcement 10/2024.
This move is to prevent those unscrupulous persons from impersonating MRF with fake Facebook pages to deceive buyers for money, to entice retailers to cooperate in rice distribution at fair prices, and to provide better service for them.
MRF arranged this cash-on-delivery sale through retail shops across 33 townships of Yangon rather than pre-paid sales on 10 July. Shwebo and Ayeyawady Pawsan rice will be distributed according to the set prices starting from 10 July.
MRF notified consumers to contact the nearest retail shops across 33 townships to purchase rice. This scheme is planned to proceed to Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay and other cities.
