MoC registers over 7,100 online sales and services

According to the Ministry of Commerce, more than 7,100 online sales and services have been registered by the Ministry.
The Ministry of Commerce stated that a total of 7,169 businesses were registered and approved for goods and services sold online from 2 October 2023 to 8 August 2024.
On 21 July 2023, the Ministry of Commerce announced that goods and services sold through the online system must apply for registration and conduct business. On 10 August 2023, the Ministry of Commerce issued another notification that those who sell goods online without a registration certificate will be prosecuted under the Important Goods and Services Law. If operating online sales without a registration certificate were found, action would be taken under Section 5 of the Important Goods and Services Law.
Therefore, the Ministry of Commerce has informed those who are doing online sales business to apply for registration certificates at the eComReg system through www.ecomreg.gov.mm. — ASH/TKO
