Japan to recruit more than 1300 Myanmar workers

Myanmar workers are going to work Japan in 2023.

Up to 370 Japanese companies will recruit more than 1300 Myanmar workers, Myanmar Embassy to Japan said in a statement on 15 August.

It stipulates about 176 demand letters that were submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after verification until 1 July 2024.

According to it, more than 450 Myanmar male workers and 890 Myanmar female workers would be employed.

The embassy has carried out timely verifications of demand letters received from the Ministry of Labour via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the statement. It verifies whether labour supervisory company and factories or companies which offered jobs in Japan are officially established or not, and re-submits its findings and remarks to the Ministry of Labour through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement issued on 15 July, the embassy said over 1400 Myanmar workers would be employed by more than 400 Japanese companies. A statement issued on 31 July said more than 1300 Myanmar workers would be recruited by more than 400 Japan companies.
