No fuel shortage expected based on current conditions

There is no such possibility of fuel shortage according to the remaining stocks and the incoming oil tankers from abroad. Authorities urged the public to buy fuel in petrol stations that have fewer queues, not only at the stations with crowded queues.
Excessive purchase of petrol than usual these days in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay cities happened some filling stations with crowded and very long queues. Furthermore, some stations ran out of fuel for some time before the subsequent arrival of oil bowsers. Therefore, fuel has been filled at the stations regularly, and additional stations have been reinforced as needed.
The Supervisory Committee on Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil also encouraged the public not to purchase panic fuel as there is no such possibility of fuel shortages in the domestic market.
The committee urged the public not to buy excessively more than necessary, not to store, not to purchase for resale, and to buy only the essential amount. Authorities also called for the public to acquire fuel in petrol stations that have fewer queues, not only at the stations with crowded queues. The committee is also taking action to ensure that the fuel stations do not refuse to sell oil unless out of stock. — MNA/TMT
