Myanmar and India discuss enhancing religious cooperation

A discussion in progress between Myanmar Ambassador to India U Moe Kyaw Aung and Venerable M Dhammalankara Thero, Bhikkhu-In-Charge of the Maha Bodhi Society of India.

A discussion on promoting religious cooperation between Myanmar and India took place at the Embassy of Myanmar in New Delhi on 13 August, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Myanmar Ambassador to India U Moe Kyaw Aung received Venerable M Dhammalankara Thero, Bhikkhu-In-Charge of the Maha Bodhi Society of India, to discuss and exchange views on further strengthening the existing Buddhist community links in India and promoting religious cooperation between Myanmar and India.
Ms Nirosha K Herath, Counsellor from the High Commission of Sri Lanka, and members of the Governing Body of the Maha Bodhi Society of India were also present at the meeting. — ASH/TH
