Ministries donate foodstuffs to frontline Tatmadaw, security force members

The preparations for the donations to Tatmadaw and security force members are in progress yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

People and departmental personnel donate foodstuffs daily to members of Tatmadaw and security forces who are serving the state’s defence and security duties with sacrifices on the frontline.
The Ministry of Planning and Finance carried out the processing and packaging of foodstuffs with goodwill and loving-kindness for members of Tatmadaw and security forces on the frontline at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 4 August. They donated eight kinds of foodstuffs worth K30 million and K15 million in cash.
Deputy Ministers Daw Than Than Lin and U Min Htut observed the preparations for foodstuffs.
On 5 August, Union Minister U Win Shein, Deputy Ministers Daw Than Than Lin and U Min Htut and departmental officials donated foodstuffs and cash at the Nay Pyi Taw Command.
Similarly, the Ministry of Immigration and Population family led by Union Minister U Myint Kyaing donated K25 million worth of 19 types of foodstuffs on that day.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Science and Technology donated K8.4 million worth of foodstuffs, as well as K6 million was in cash, and K4 million worth of food and medicine was donated by the Union Auditor-General Office.
The staff also sent their messages of encouragement to Tatmadaw members and security forces.
Nay Pyi Taw Command Commander Maj-Gen Soe Min received donations and gave certificates of honour in return.
Family members from the Union Civil Service Board and trainees of two civil service academies also processed and packaged foodstuffs for Tatmadaw members and security forces on 4 and 5 August.
They will donate six types of foodstuffs worth K11 million. — MNA/KTZH
