Myanmar children in Egypt can enrol in basic education in mid-August

The Myanmar Embassy to Egypt announced that Myanmar nationals arriving in Egypt from KG to Grade 12 who want to enrol in the basic education programme for Myanmar children abroad for the 2024-2025 academic year can apply during the second week of August.
According to the embassy, this programme was arranged by the Ministry of Education for Myanmar children who are actually living abroad.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, parents and guardians of students who wish to apply for this programme will have to take the application forms at the embassy.
When applying for the enrolment, the passport copy of the student’s parent or guardian, a copy of the page with the period of residence according to the type of visa, or a card copy of a work permit or student pass, and if one is self-employed or attending a school without any guardian, the information such as the reason for living abroad must be attached after being endorsed by the education officer at the embassy.
A passport-sized colour photo must be attached to each of two sets of application forms, which are to be sent to the education officer by 9 August 2024.
