Foreign fuel tankers arrive on schedule

Continuous rainfall has triggered floods in some regions, and it causes delays in fuel import and distribution processes at Terminals of Thilawa Port and the transport of fuel. Therefore, officials supervise the fuel sales systematically to prevent temporary fuel shortages before the arrival of tankers. They also address urgent needs by filling stations and transporting fuel from temporarily suspended stations due to floods to those in need.
Supervisory Committee on Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil distributed fuel to storage tanks at Thilawa Port in advance until the end of the second week of August 2024 to ensure fuel security and to prevent shortages. It makes proper arrangements for continuous entry of fuel tankers.
Therefore, people should not panic due to the misinformation regarding fuel shortage news spreading online media, and they should not buy more than what they need and store and resell at high prices.
