Opening ceremony of Myanmar engineers’ study tour in China held in Nanning

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the opening ceremony of the Myanmar Engineers’ study tour in China took place in Nanning, China, on 30 July. The Consul-General of the Myanmar Consulate-General in Nanning, Daw Khaing Su Linn, attended and delivered a speech on the occasion.
Mr Li Shunju, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Society of Automotive Engineers, Mr Liu Jiakai, Vice-Chairman of the Guangxi Association for Science and Technology, and representatives from engineering societies were also present at the event.
In her speech, Daw Khaing Su Linn highlighted China’s remarkable achievements in infrastructure, scientific and technological innovation, and advanced studies on its path to complete development. She also noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have enjoyed friendly ties and progress in strategic partnership relations and cooperation.
She expressed her belief that the Myanmar engineers would apply the experiences they gained from this study tour to the modernization of Myanmar and contribute to exploring potential areas for cooperation and improving bilateral relations.
A total of ten junior engineers from the Myanmar Engineering Council, Federation of Myanmar Engineering Society, and High-Rise and Public Building Project Committee will study in Nanning and Kunming for five days. — ASH/TMT
