MMPO donates over K10 million to flood victims

According to Vice-Chairman U Aye Kyu Lay, of the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organisation (MMPO) donated over K10 million to assist flood victims affected by the heavy rains across the country.
Led by the MMPO, artistes and film enthusiasts collectively contributed funds to regions and states severely impacted by the floods. These donations were channelled through relevant film and government organizations to aid those affected by the persistent rains.
U Aye Kyu Lay stated, “We donated K1.2 million to Myitkyina, K5 million to the Sagaing Region, and K1 million to Mon State through the respective government organizations. We will also donate K1 million each to Bago Region, Ayeyawady Region, and Kayin State. In total, we have donated K10.2 million out of our total donation fund of K10.86 million”.
The MMPO also provides support through cash and food donations to resettlement projects for disaster victims in collaboration with donors and relevant government departments. — ASH/ TRKM
