QR code is added to matriculation certificates for 2024, in order to verify authenticity of the certificate and accuracy of data by scanning the QR code, according to the Department of Myanmar Examinations.

When the QR code is scanned, a website beginning with  verify.dme.gov.mm will appear and random 6 digits will be provided. The user needs to insert the 6 digits and click “submit” to check certificate data. If the certificate is fake, QR code will not work with verify.dme.gov.mm or it will go to other website, it warned.

If it is forged by copying QR from a certificate issued by the department, original data and QR result will be different when it is scanned.

Even if it is a real certificate issued by the department and if certificate’s data and QR result on verify.dme.gov.mm are different, the user can contact the department’s page messenger or qr@myanmar,exam.org by sending the certificate photo.
