Myanmar participates in 45th Asia-Europe Foundation Board of Governors’ Meeting

Ambassador U Aung Myo Myint, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to ASEAN, attended the 45th Asia-Europe Foundation Board of Governors’ Meeting (ASEFBoG45) held on 11-12 July 2024, in Bali, Indonesia, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was held at the Laguna Resort and Spa in Bali and was chaired by the alternate Chairman of the Board of Governors, Bangladesh’s Governor Mr Md Rais Hasan Sarower. The meeting confirmed the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director of ASEF, who will serve for the next four-year term starting in October this year.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on topics such as the latest developments in ASEF’s three-year strategy, reports on ASEF’s communications, human resources, and financial status, as well as project proposals to be implemented in 2025 and ASEF’s work programmes related to its legal framework.
Governors and representatives from member countries, ASEF Executive Director Ambassador Mr Morikawa Toru, and other relevant officials attended the meeting. — ASH/TH
