Merits shared for martyr leaders in Nay Pyi Taw

On the 77th Anniversary of Martyrs’ Day, the ceremony of giving merits to great martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation was held yesterday morning at the Zabuthiri Hall of the Nay Pyi Taw Council office in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory.
Monks led by Presiding Sayadaw of Mingala Zeyon Pali Tekkatho Monastery Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Bhaddanta Vimala Buddhi and Nay Pyi Taw Sangha Nayaka Committee Chairman Presiding Sayadaw of Thukha Vihara Thayet Gone Monastery Dr Bhaddanta Munikumara, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Soe Min and relevant officials attended the event.
All those present on the occasion first took Five Precepts from Presiding Sayadaw of Mingala Zeyon Pali Tekkatho Monastery, and they donated offerings to Sayadaw and monks.
They then listened to sermons delivered by Nay Pyi Taw Sangha Nayaka Committee Chairman Presiding Sayadaw of Thukha Vihara Thayetgon Monastery and shared merits.
They took a one-minute silence marking sorrow for the fallen heroes and offered a day meal to Sayadaws. — MNA/KTZH
