Tourism development plan announced for Yangon Region

A Yangon Regional tourism development plan will be implemented, according to U Zeya Myo Aung, Deputy Director General of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism.
In order to develop the plan, the regional tourism committee, the Destination Management Organization (DMO) and all private tourism organizations in Yangon Region will cooperate with one another. The discussion results will be implemented through the Yangon Regional Tourism Development Forum.
For the development of tourism based on Yangon Region’s tourist attraction resources, the Regional Tourism Committee, DMOs and all private tourism organizations will participate in developing practical and systematic plans for the development of Yangon Region’s destinations. — ASH/KZL
