Over 194,000 stimulant tablets seized in Kawthoung, Kengtung

Myanmar Police seized over 194,000 stimulant tablets in Shan State on 14 July.
Acting on a tip-off, the combined drug enforcement task force inspected a Toyota Alphard in Kengtung Township of Shan State on Sunday and confiscated 168,000 stimulant tablets together with four suspects.
On the same day, another 3,000 stimulant tablets were seized from the house of a suspect in Kengtung, and 20,000 tablets were also captured from two suspects after the investigation on a motorcycle was conducted in the same township.
Similarly, the police confiscated 3,900 stimulant tablets on the same day in Kawthoung from two other suspects.
A total of nine offenders involved in drug cases were charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations were underway. — MNA/KTZH
