Suspects arrested with arms/ammunition in Namsang

According to the report made by the locals that the illegal arms and ammunition are transported to Kayah and Kayin states from Namsang Township of Shan State (South), the security forces scrutinized 2K-7178 Vigo black vehicle, heading from Matkyan village, at Naryine village junction of Matkyan village in Namsang on 12 July. During the inspection, RCSS/SSA platoon leader Sai Non Main, privates Sai Su (aka) Su Zeya, Sai Kaung, Bo Bo Han and Sai Non Hlaing were arrested together with KIA-made five KAs, five 40MM revolvers, five 40 MM (shotgun), 43,765 7.62 bullets, 450 40MM grenades, 15 KA magazines and 15 strings.
A total of five male suspects were arrested with 15 arms, 43,765 bullets, 450 grenades, 15 magazines and 15 strings.
According to their confession, they accepted these arms and ammunition from PNLA member Tha Hto at Naryine village road on 12 July, and they were arrested on the way to transport these arms and ammunition to KNPP and KNDF in Kayah state and KNLA in the intersection area of Kayah and Kayin states.
These arms and ammunition were produced by KIA armed organization, and the KIA provided weapons to PDF terrorists, and other armed groups and also sold them. The terrorist groups and armed insurgents murdered innocent people including government employees and exploded public roads, bridges and buildings to affect the governance mechanisms of the government.
Action will be taken against those involved in the cases, and the people are urged to report to the officials regarding these terrorist groups. — MNA/KTZH
