Myanmar National League: Yangon trounce Myawady 5-0

Yangon United edged Myawady FC 5-0 in the Day 3 match of the Myanmar National League 2024-2025 season at Yangon United Sports Complex yesterday.
Yangon United played an open attack from the start and scored two goals in the 16 minutes of the game. Winning goals for team Yangon were scored by La Min Htwe at 12 and 45+2 minutes, Yan Naing Oo at 16 minutes, Hlaing Bo Bo at 52 minutes and Okka Naing at 84 minutes.
The best player award goes to Yangon’s Okka Naing after the match. With the win, Yangon bagged a full six points from two games while Myawady collected no points.
Meanwhile, ISPE FC defeated Rakhine United 5-1 in the other MNL match played at the Thuwunna Youth Training Centre. The winning goals for ISPE were scored by Naing Naing Kyaw at 12 and 29 minutes and Thein Zaw Thiha at 30, 48 and 62 minutes.
The lone equalizer for Rakhine was scored by Joseph at 76 minutes. The hat-trick maker Thein Zaw Thiha from ISPE FC secured the best player award for this match. With the victory, ISPE garnered three points from two games and Rakhine United has no point.
Hanthawady United will take on Thitsar Arman FC at Thuwunna Youth Training Centre in Yangon and Ayeyawady United will face Dagon Port FC at Pathein Stadium today. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
