The malicious news media are writing false reports that the people’s military servants who have completed the course were initially called to serve for two years. But, in reality, they were forced to sign to serve for five years.
An official said that the news is not correct. In relation to the People’s Military Service Law, social networks, including the State-owned media, are making announcements to the public and sending SMS notifications to mobile phones to ensure that they can serve only in accordance with the provisions of the law.
However, subversive media and terrorist groups are circulating timely incitement propaganda to misguide young people. In order to prevent the public from worrying about the news of military service, State media and military service education news and broadcasts are continuously posted at https://mod.gov.mm/node/74.
Regarding unclear topics, people can contact the numbers of the People’s Military Service at the central level, state and regional levels and the phone numbers of the relevant summoning groups during office hours. — MNA/KZL
