On 4 July, KNPP/KNDF and PDF terrorists attacked Loikaw in Kayah State with heavy weapons.
In the evening, the KNPP/KNDF group and PDF terrorists targeted the University of Technology, Myakaluk Hill, and Thiridaw Junction in Loikaw, resulting in the death of one local and injuring 10 others, including four children.
The injured were transported to the local Tatmadaw hospital for medical treatment. Reports indicate that KNPP/KNDF and PDF terrorists are attacking peaceful wards and villages, intentionally disrupting the government’s administrative mechanisms. Consequently, security forces will conduct counter-terrorism operations in cooperation with residents to ensure regional stability and uphold the rule of law. — MNA/TKO
