Myanmar Embassy hosts ‘Understanding Myanmar’ event in Tokyo

The Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo and the NHK Cultural Promotion Centre collaborated to provide an embassy talk on ‘Understanding Myanmar’ in Tokyo on 5 July, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the event, Myanmar Ambassador to Japan U Soe Han delivered an opening remark, providing a brief background on Myanmar and Myanmar-Japan relations. The ‘Friendly Myanmar’ video created by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism was then presented. Additionally, officials discussed Myanmar’s culture, economy, investment opportunities, and education system.
Myanmar’s traditional foods, such as cuisines, tea-leaf salad, desserts, coffee, and tea produced in Myanmar, were served to guests. Traditional costumes, instruments, and handicrafts from Myanmar were also displayed at the event to promote a better understanding of Myanmar and its culture. — ASH/TMT
