40 villages launch smart village digital tech project

According to the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, a smart village project will be developed to enable the use of digital technologies in 40 villages, spending K2,400 million.
These projects will run in this financial year. If approval is received for the selection and approval of the villages where the project will be implemented, the project will start in the relevant villages.
With the widespread use of modern digital technologies in model villages, the necessary infrastructure construction work will be carried out to further develop the daily lifestyles of villagers.
The project will cover 40 villages in 40 townships in the rest of the states and regions except Kayah State, Chin State and Sagaing Region, and each village will spend K60 million. — TWA/KZL
