UEC delegation returns from Thailand’s Senate Election observation programme

At the invitation of the Secretary-General of the Election Commission of Thailand, Union Election Commission Members U Myint Oo and U Khin Maung Oo, who visited the Thailand Senate selection from 24 to 27 June, returned to Yangon yesterday evening and welcomed by officials from the Yangon Region Election Commission Branch.
During the observation visit, the delegation attended the ceremony to explain the rules and election offences, which was held at the Asawin Grand Convention Hotel on 25 June and discussed the Senate Election Law. On 26 June, the International Election Commission, which participated in the study tour to study and monitor the selection process of the National Senate Representatives held at the IMPACT Forum Convention Centre and had the opportunity to exchange views with officials from various organizations. — MNA/TS
