The Yangon Region Investment Committee (YRIC) gave the green light to three domestic enterprises made by Myanmar citizens and four wholly foreign enterprises with an estimated capital of US$4.845 million and K4.02 billion at the recent meeting 6/2024 held on 26 June.
Three domestic enterprises will pump investments into the hotel sector. In comparison, the four foreign enterprises will make investments in the manufacturing of wearing apparel, padding, quilting, and toys on a cutting, making, and packaging basis. The manufacturing of padding and quilting is designated for 80 per cent domestic distribution and 20 per cent exports. Those businesses will create a total of over 3,000 jobs.
YRIC endorsed one domestic enterprise made by Myanmar citizens and three wholly foreign enterprises in May, with an estimated capital of $3.739 million and K1.55 billion. — NN/EM
