MAI inaugurates direct Yangon-Vientiane flight

The opening ceremony for the new direct Yangon-Vientiane flight, starting on 25 June 2024 by Myanmar Airways International (MAI), was held at Yangon International Airport Terminal 1 at 2:30 pm yesterday.
The presence of Lao Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Heuangseng Khamdalavong, MAI CEO Mr Tanes Kumar, and Director-General U Kyaw Soe of the Department of Civil Aviation Myanmar graced the event. They inaugurated the ceremony by cutting the ribbon.
The new air service between Yangon and Vientiane will operate every Tuesday and Thursday, with ticket prices starting from US $159.
MAI launched flights to Chiang Mai and Dhaka in April and May. By the end of 2024, MAI aims to offer a comprehensive network of 21 international and 20 domestic flights. — Arkar Linn/TRKM
