MoH Union Minister departs for China to attend Traditional Medicine Forum

Dr Thet Khaing Win, Myanmar’s Union Minister for Health, departed for China yesterday to attend the 2024 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Forum on Traditional Medicine in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, on 26-28 June. The Myanmar delegation was seen off at Yangon International Airport by officials from the Ministry of Health and Chinese Embassy’s Commercial Attachè Mr Ouyang Daobing.
The forum, themed “Inheritance, Integration, and Development”, will feature participants from SCO member countries, observer countries, dialogue partners, and traditional medicine experts. The event aims to foster the mutual study of traditional medicine, address copyright issues, enhance university cooperation, promote sector development, and support the establishment of the global health community. — MNA/TS
