10th International Day of Yoga celebrated in Nay Pyi Taw

The collective Yoga session marking the 10th International Day of Yoga was organized at the Maravijaya Buddha Park compound in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The event was initiated by the Indian Embassy to Myanmar and attended by Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, Nay Pyi Taw Command Commander Maj-Gen Soe Min, Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Aye Tun, Nay Pyi Taw Council members and officials from the Indian Embassy.
After the opening, Ms Lalan Desai, a Yoga instructor from the Indian Embassy, demonstrated the Yoga session, and attendees participated in it. They posed for photos at the northern stairway of the Maravijaya Buddha Image.
They also grew Ceylon ironwood saplings at designated places to mark the 10th International Day of Yoga. — MNA/KTZH
