The sale of used clothes made of thick fabric has been doing well in this rainy season, U Kyaw Thiha from USK thrift shop at Kyimyindaing second-hand clothes market told the Global New Light of Myanmar (GNLM).
At present, the second-hand clothes have been sold well.
“The trading has operated as usual in the monsoon season because this is indoor market. This is monsoon season so raincoats and shirts, blouses and trousers made of thick fabric have been sold well. The sale has been doing well,” he said.

The sale dropped in previous months, however, it has been doing well now and the trading of second-hand clothes flourished in December and January last year. Lately, people enjoy thrifting rather than buying expensive branded clothes.
If you are good at thrifting, worldwide famous brands such as Adidas, Nike, Burberry, and Hugo Boss can be available at a cheap price and it is a reason why people enjoy buying second-hand clothes.
Second-hand goods are called thrift or vintage among the young people and the second-hand clothes stalls at Kyimyindaing Night Market is the most famous in Yangon and always crowded on weekends.
