Naval, private vessels transport relief supplies to people in Rakhine State

Workers seen loading relief supplies to trasport them to Rakhine State.

Under the guidance of the National Disaster Management Committee and the supervision of the Transport and Communication Work Committee, 39,898 sacks of rice provided by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, along with construction materials and charcoal briquettes requested by the Rakhine State government, were transported from Yangon to Sittway yesterday morning.
Since 16 May 2023, relief supplies, including consumer goods and foodstuffs weighing 69,825.36 tonnes, 249,762 gallons of diesel, and 199,886 gallons of Octane 92, have been transported to Rakhine State. — MNA/MKKS
