Authorities receive 38 Myanmar nationals repatriated from India

A total of 38 Myanmar nationals who had completed their sentences at Imphal prison in Manipur state, India, were transferred via the Myanmar-India border checkpoint in Tamu township, Sagaing Region, on 11 June.
Indian officials transferred them back to Myanmar, and Myanmar officials from the Tamu district administration accepted them in accordance with the repatriation laws and policies of both countries. According to the Tamu district administration, Myanmar nationals were temporarily accommodated at the Miekwin monastery in Tamu township, where they underwent health tests and were provided with food and other necessary assistance. — TWA/MKKS
