Myanmar, Indian Armed Forces to forge friendly ties, further cooperation

Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye received Joint Director-General of Military Intelligence Maj-Gen Charanjeet Singh Dewgun, YSM, ADG MI (A), Indian Armed Forces, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they openly exchanged views on the enhancement of bilateral relations between the two armed forces, military cooperation, trainees exchange, plans to cooperate in peace and stability, security and law enforcement at the border regions between the two countries.
Also present at the meeting were Lt-Gen Ko Ko Oo of the Office of Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services (Army) and senior military officers. The Joint Director-General of Military Intelligence of the Indian Armed Forces was accompanied by Indian Defence Attaché Colonel Jaswinder Singh Gill and officials. — MNA/KTZH
