Rehab centre provides follow-up care to 65 recovering addicts in H1 2024

According to the Drug Rehabilitation Centre, follow-up psychological and physical care has been provided to 65 recovering people with a substance use disorder in the first six months of this year. On 8 June, a ceremony for handing over individuals in recovery to their parents was held at the combined hall of the Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Tamway Township.
At the ceremony, U San Shein, Chairman of the Drug Rehabilitation Centre, gave an opening address and an educational talk on the severe consequences of narcotic drugs. Daw Khin Khin Win, the secretary, emphasised the need for drug addicts to receive treatment, and comedian U Chit Chaw, also a student youth media ambassador, highlighted the importance of follow-up psychological and physical treatment for recovering people with an addiction.
In 2023, follow-up psychological and physical treatment was provided to 64 recovering people with a substance use disorder. — TWA/TKO
