Local visitor arrivals increase at Ngwetaung Beach

A total of 54,555 local tourists visited Ngwetaung Beach, located at Hainggyikyun in Ayeyawady Region’s Ngaputaw Township, in May 2024, and visitor arrival has been on the rise, according to Daw Ni Ni Mar, one of the executive members from Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs Association (Ngwetaung Beach).
The beach is located within a short distance from Myat Mawtinsun Pagoda, and it has local visitors, mainly from Yangon Region and Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, throughout the year.
“Domestic visitor arrival to Ngwetaung Beach was 35,455 in January, 36,555 in February, 38,955 in March, 48,955 in April and 54,555 in May. With non-stop visiting all around the year, visitor arrival has been increasing monthly,” said Daw Ni Ni Mar.
It has made sure of security to help tourists relax safely and peacefully at the beach, along with bicycle rental service, motorboat rental service and horse rental service, as well as a market stall which sells local food products, accessories and souvenirs has been provided. — ASH/ZS/ED
