Various kinds of school supplies have been given to more than 700 students who are the children of shopkeepers, stevedores and company staff at the Danyingon wholesale market in Yangon, according to MAEX-Myanmar Agro Exchange Public Ltd.
The ceremony took place at Complex No 4 at 10 am on 9 June, and MAEX-Myanmar Agro Exchange Public Ltd provided schooling materials to school-age children of the employees for the 2024-25 academic year.

Materials worth K41,678,075 were given to 775 students – 606 children of shopkeepers, shop assistants and hawkers, five children of shop-house and modular house sellers, 40 children of construction workers, 24 children of stevedores and cleaners, 35 children of Armanshin security group and three-wheeler drivers, and 65 children of office staff.
Assistance includes materials worth K35,075 each to 82 KG students, materials worth K40,950 each to 257 Grade 1-2-3 students, materials worth K45,725 each to 144 Grade 4-5 students, materials worth K66,375 each to 164 Grade 6-7-8-9 students, materials worth K70,075 each to 105 Grade 10-11-12 students, and materials worth K150,000 each to 23 university students, totalling 775 students.

A special scholarship programme will also be launched for the students of shopkeepers who are having financial difficulty enrolling their children in the schools this academic year, and enquiries can be made at the MAEX Admin B12 office. — MT/ZN/ED
