Myanmar Ambassador to Bangladesh U Kyaw Soe Moe attended the ceremony marking the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 6 June, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
The event, organized by the BIMSTEC Secretariat at the Sheraton Hotel in Dhaka, was attended by Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Bangladesh Prime Minister’s Advisor on Electricity, Energy, and Mineral Resources, as a special guest, alongside ambassadors, charges d’affaires of BIMSTEC member countries, the secretary-general of BIMSTEC, ambassadors based in Dhaka, and heads of embassies and diplomats. — ASH/TKO
