Social Welfare Dept to offer 2nd batch domestic vocational training in 10 cities

The Department of Social Welfare will open domestic vocational training courses (second batch) in ten big cities, including Yangon, from 10 June to 18 July.
The training courses aim to give great opportunities to those who have not completed high school education to be equipped with practical experiences in their chosen career. The training will take place in Yangon, Mandalay, Mawlamyine, Pathein, Toungoo, Myitkyina, Pyapon, Sittway, Ywangan, and Dawei.
The first batch for the 2024-2025 Academic Year has finished. The department announced that the second batch will start on 10 June.
The training will provide sewing courses (women, children and men clothing, coats), domestic handicraft training (crochet, embroidery, sewing), baking, cooking and floral design training with domestic and foreign experts through technical and practical approaches.
The training schools open eight batches every academic year, with each batch taking six weeks.
Furthermore, schools in Yangon, Mandalay, Mawlamyine, and Pathein offer specialized courses on weekends. Those interested individuals can contact the respective domestic vocational schools in regions and states.
