According to the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC), a leak in the Zawtika natural gas pipeline near Bilin reduced power generation capacity by nearly 55 MW during repairs on 15 and 16 May.
According to YESC, they have managed to generate about 22 MW of electricity at the Ahlon Power Station using the supply from the Yadana natural gas pipeline during the daytime. Additionally, nearly 50 MW of electricity is generated at the Thilawa and Thakayta power plants using diesel engines at night in an effort to meet the power demand as much as possible. — TWA/TKO
