2023-2024 academic year Grade 10 outstanding students arrive in Taunggyi

Officials from various departments, students, and local people welcome the outstanding students by waving miniature flags along the roadside in Kalaw yesterday.

A total of 140 outstanding grade-10 students from the 2023-2024 academic year, along with their supervising teachers, led by Dr Soe Myint Tun, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Basic Education, departed from Nay Pyi Taw on 27 April and arrived in Kalaw, Shan State (South).
U Soe Myint, chairman of the Kalaw District Administration Body, along with its members, officials from the Department of Education, various departments, students, and local ethnic people, welcomed the outstanding students by waving miniature flags along the roadside.
Outstanding students then visited Mawmyay-U Park and the Kalaw Clock Tower, followed by lunch at No 1 Basic Education High School in Kalaw.
They also departed from Kalaw and arrived at Taunggyi Township’s No 1 Basic Education High School, where a camp for outstanding students was inaugurated.
They were warmly welcomed by U Myint Lwin, the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Basic Education, along with officials, teachers, students, and bands. — MNA/TKO
