The malicious media intentionally spread fake news, claiming that 11 youths were arrested to serve in the military in Dawna Street and Khaing Shwewah Street at (L) ward in North Okkalapa Township.
According to an official from the People’s Military Servant Summoning Team, at 6:15 am on 29 March, 11 individuals who expressed their willingness to volunteer for military service in (L) Ward reported to the administrative office. The subversive media fabricated and spread false information to mislead the public regarding the 11 people who volunteered to join the military.
Since the People’s Military Service Law came into effect, subversive media outlets have been deliberately spreading fake news to frighten the people. These subversive media sources and terrorists are afraid and do not want citizens to acquire military knowledge or fulfil their national defence duties. — MNA/TKO
