Myanmar’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation attends Gastro Camp Buryatia Project

Myanmar’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Lin Ohn, attended the Gastro Camp Buryatia Project held in the city of Ulan-Ude in the Buryatia region from 7 to 11 March, at the invitation of the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Tourism.
During the visit, the ambassador, accompanied by the Minister of Tourism of the Buryatia government, visited the world-famous Lake Baikal and various tourist spots, museums, modern factories, hotels, tourism training centres, as well as Buddhist temples in the Ulan-Ude city. Then, together with the head of the local government, he also observed martial arts and traditional martial arts competitions before participating in the traditional Russian food exhibition and dinner organized by the tourism centre.
Additionally, during the visit, the ambassador met members of the local government led by Mr Alexey Sambuevich Tsydenov, at the government office. They discussed measures related to Myanmar-Russia friendship, strengthening cooperation between the two nations, increasing Russian tourists to Myanmar, boosting exports of aqua and agricultural produce to Russia, developing the garment industry, providing more scholarships for Myanmar citizens, and improving investment. — ASH/TH
