Kyaiktiyo Pagoda welcomes over 500,000 pilgrims from Thadingyut to Tabodwe

Over 500,000 pilgrims from all parts of the nation visited the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda in Mon State from Thadingyut Full Moon Day to Tabodwe Full Moon Day, according to U Soe Hla, the chairman of the board of trustees.
The number of pilgrims nationwide flocks to Kyaiktiyo Pagoda daily and almost 250 buses operate transport of pilgrims up and down the hilly road as well as the lodges, guesthouses, public rest houses and hotels opens for the pilgrims.
Additionally, Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is open to the public year-round. It hosts the annual Buddha Pujaniya Festival from the full moon day of Thadingyut to the full moon day of Kason. — ASH/MKKS/ED
