A total of 370 Japanese companies will offer jobs to over 1,300 Myanmar workers, according to the announcement of the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo on 29 February.
The embassy released the data for 370 demand letters between 15 and 29 February after verification, and the offers will be for over 400 male workers, over 800 female workers and over 1300 in total.
The statement also said that the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo is reviewing the demand letters sent by the Ministry of Labour via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a timely manner.
After verifying the legal establishment of labour supervising agencies and recruitment factories/companies in Japan, together with relevant documents, its findings and comments were returned to the Ministry of Labour through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Over 300 demand letters from 1 to 15 February, which were verified and sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, would recruit over 900 Myanmar nationals in total, the embassy said. — MT/ZN/ED
