MoBA holds 5th Myanmar traditional Htamane-making competition

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung presents prize to a winning team of Htamane-making competition yesterday.

The Ministry of Border Affairs held the 5th Myanmar traditional Htamane-making competition yesterday evening in the courtyard of the Ministry of Border Affairs, attended by Union Minister Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Phyo Thant, departmental heads and employees and contending teams.
First of all, in his opening remarks, the Union Minister said that the Myanmar traditional Htamane-making competition held today was a unique traditional event that takes place with collective strength in the 12-month seasonal festivals. It is necessary to overcome challenges through unity and personal responsibilities. He urged the employees to strive for undertaking development of the nation in their respective sectors.
Then, the Union Minister, the Deputy Minister and officials enjoyed participation of the contending teams in the competition. They also presented awards to the winning teams in the competition. — MNA/TS
