Yangon Mayor meets Russian Ambassador to Myanmar to discuss cooperation promotion

The Yangon mayor holds talks with the ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar on 15 February.

A delegation led by Mr Iskander Azizov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar, met Yangon Region Minister for Development Affairs and Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) Chairman Mayor U Bo Htay and party on 15 February to discuss issues related to the promotion of friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and Russia.
The Russian delegation discussed issues related to the promotion of friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and Russia, the implementation of sister cities between Yangon in Myanmar and St Petersburg in Russia, the development of municipal services between the two capitals of Myanmar and Russia, and the construction of Russian Orthodox Church in Dagon Myothit (North) Township.
In addition, issues related to Russia’s investment in Yangon, cultural exchange between Myanmar and Russia, tourism sector development between the two capitals of Myanmar and Russia, development of health and transport sectors, and flights between Yangon and Moscow were also discussed. — TWA/TKO
