ASEAN-Prague Committee donates food to Czech Federation of Food Banks

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the ASEAN-Prague Committee, based in Prague City, Czech Republic, made its fourth donation of foodstuffs to the Czech Federation of Food Banks on 7th February.

Dr. Htun Naung, the charge d’affaires ad interim of the Myanmar Embassy, attended the donation ceremony alongside heads of embassies from ASEAN member countries.

During the ceremony, Ambassador of Malaysia, Ms. Suzilah Binti Mohd Sidek, the acting chairman of the ASEAN-Prague Committee, explained that the annual donation of foodstuffs by ASEAN countries to the Czech Federation of Food Banks aims to foster mutual understanding and assistance between the peoples of the Czech Republic and ASEAN nations.

Mr. Aleš Slavíček, the president of the Czech Federation of Food Banks, expressed gratitude for the donation.— ASH/TKO
