Myanmar attends European Parliament’s New Year Reception in Brussels

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar attended the New Year Reception organized by the European Parliament on 31 January in Brussels, Belgium.
Myanmar Ambassador U Soe Lin Han from the Myanmar Embassy to Belgium was invited by Mrs Roberta Metsola, Speaker of the European Parliament, to attend the New Year Reception at the European Parliament. The Myanmar Ambassador expressed the New Year wishes to Mrs Roberta Metsola for the best blessings in 2024.
The New Year Reception was attended by respective officials from the Embassies and organizations based in Brussels. European Parliament Speaker Mrs Roberta Metsola said current affairs like the Russia-Ukraine conflict and Gaza conflict are transforming the geopolitical and security landscape of the world, with Europe playing a significant part in this transformation. All nations must work together to overcome the difficulties and changes, Mrs Roberta Metsola continued.
After the reception, Mrs Roberta Metsola took a commemorative photo with the Myanmar Ambassador, including the heads of the Embassies, agencies and offices. — ASH/MKKS
