The 103rd birthday in commemoration of the late Win Sein Sayadaw, the patron monk of Win Sein Tawya Monastery in Myainggon Village, Mudon Township, Mon State, is scheduled for 4 February.
To honour this occasion, holy umbrellas will be hoisted atop two pagodas near Shin Uppagutta statue whereas a new guest hall will be inaugurated, and a new robe will be draped over the remains of the Sayadaw. Additionally, members of the Sangha from 120 monasteries will be offered day meals and offerings.
Approximately 30 charity shops will contribute food and refreshments for visitors attending the Sayadaw’s birthday celebration. — TWA/KZL
