Khit Thit Media spreads fake news

p4 second 2

The malicious media outlet, Khit Thit Media, is spreading fake news and misinformation on social networking sites, claiming that security forces torched Taung Khamauk and Maukwin villages in the Thitpok village-tract in Paungde Township of Bago Region on 14 January as the villagers refused to organize militia unit and gather new members.
The relevant security official reported that the PDF terrorists launched an arson attack on the village, while the security forces conducted security measures on 14 January, and the malicious media outlets spread such fake news to mislead the public.
Similarly, the Khit Thit Media also spread fake news, saying Tatmadaw torched Tawkan village in Sittway Township of Rakhine State yesterday.
On 15 January morning, AA insurgents attacked the security members using small arms and heavy weapons near Tawkan village in Sittway. They retreated and torched the houses when the security members launched a counterattack. The fire destroyed some houses even though the security forces put out the fire.
The malicious media outlets intentionally spread fake news and misinformation to cover up the wrongdoings of insurgents who launched attacks hiding from the houses and buildings in towns and villages and arson attacks. — MNA/KTZH
