Cross combat competitions featuring styles of Myanmar and international mixed martial arts will be held in Myanmar.
The press conference for the competition was held at the Warriors Lethwei Gym on the first floor of Tawwin Centre on Pyay Road, Yangon yesterday morning.
“We will work to improve Myanmar traditional sports and penetrate internationally. The first competition this year will be cross combat competitions. For example, karate fighter will fight against traditional lethwei figher while Martial artists will take on Taekwondo players. That’s why we will hold qualifiers for the tourney in Myanmar. The winners of the qualifiers will compete with foreign players. This invention will be true to mine and an invention that the country will be proud of,” said Max Win Myanmar Company Limited Chief Executive Officer U Tin Oo.
