K1 bln worth of Ice seized in Pyigyidagun township

The Myanmar Police Force impounded over K1 billion worth of 52 kilogrammes of Ice (methamphetamine) in Pyigyidagun township of Mandalay Region, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a Toyota Mark II car driven by Hein Htet Aung in Pyigyidagun township at 4:30 pm on 19 December and captured 52 kilogrammes of Ice (methamphetamine) worth over K1 billion.
According to the investigation, the Police Force arrested Ma Nan (aka) Ma Shan Ma (aka) Ma Nan Shwe Lu, who is a drug trafficker, in Pyigyidagun township at 5 pm on the same day.
Offenders admitted the seized drugs to transport from Shan State to Yangon Region.
The police have taken action against offenders, and an investigation is underway to identify perpetrators of the crime chain. — MNA/MKKS
